This guide provides detailed instructions on configuring the printing settings for your Sharing Station in the Launcher. Whether you are preparing for a small gathering or a large-scale event, this guide ensures your printing process is optimized for efficiency and quality.

The Print screen will be accessible in the Launcher only if you’ve enabled the Printing option for your event. Learn more about enabling Printing as a sharing option in your event settings here.

  1. Navigate to the "Print" step in the Launcher.

  2. Click the "Click to add a printer" button to open the printer configuration dialog. This interface allows you to add new printers or modify settings to suit your event needs.

  3. Configuring Print Settings

    • Selecting and Configuring Your Printer:

      • Printer Selection: Select the printer model you intend to use from the dropdown menu. If you do not see your printer listed, check your Windows settings to ensure the printer is properly installed and recognized by your system. Remember, if printing works with Windows, it will work with PicPic!

      • Paper Size: Choose the appropriate paper size from the options available. Ensure the size matches the media loaded in your printer.

      • Print Mode:

        • Fit Mode: This option ensures the entire image fits onto the selected paper size, possibly leaving white margins if the image's aspect ratio does not match the paper.

        • Fill Mode: This mode enlarges the image to cover the entire paper, potentially cropping parts of the image if its aspect ratio is different.

        • Test both "Fit" and "Fill" modes to see which best meets your needs. Consider running a few test prints to finalize the settings.

    • Applying Settings:

      • Once your preferences are set, click "OK" to apply. Printing a test page to confirm that everything looks as expected is a good practice.

    • Important Notes, Preparation, & Tips:

      • Ensure ample ink or toner is available and the paper tray is well-stocked to handle the expected volume of prints.

      • Check the print speed and manage the print queue effectively, especially if anticipating a high volume of prints, to avoid delays and manage guest expectations.

      • If you need multiple printers for your event, please repeat Steps 2 & 3.

  4. Please enable the "I am displaying 2x6 strips that will be printed" checkbox for printing 2×6 strips.

  5. Once you finish configuring and testing your printer, click the "Next" button to proceed to the Launch screen and start your event!
