Overview

PicPic Social allows you to print photos from the Sharing Station. It also allows you the use of multiple printers simultaneously. This guide will show you how to enable Printing as a sharing option and adequately configure a printer in your device server.

1. Enable Printing

Login to your PicPic Social dashboard here and create a new event or edit an existing event. Make sure that you have Printing enabled within your event settings like below. If not, the icon will not appear on your sharing station.

Click on the Sharing tab and enable Printing as a sharing option. Once you've done this, press "Create Event" or "Update Event" if you are editing an already made event's settings. You have completed adjusting your settings on the online dashboard. Now you are ready to change the device server software on your photo booth PC.

2. Adjust the Print tab on the Device Server

Please run the PicPic Social Device Server installed on your Photo Booth PC. Go to the Print tab highlighted in the photo above to adjust your Device Server's Print settings.

3. Add Your Printer

Click on the Add Printer button.

You are now viewing the Printer Settings.

  • Click this drop-down menu to choose your Printer.

  • Click this drop-down menu to select your desired paper size. Follow the steps below:

  • Select the "Mode" of the image. You can choose between Fit or Fill. We recommend that you test both to see which one works best for your event.

  • Click OK to save your printer settings.

If you would like to add another printer, please repeat the step.

4. Select Printer

Select each Printer you want to use by enabling the checkbox to the Printer's left, as seen below.

You can also Edit Settings or Remove the Printer if needed.

There are additional options that you can enable for the Printer Settings.

  • Hide window asking users how many prints to make and only print one each time - Enable this if you would only like the user to receive one copy of their photo

  • I am printing strips - Enable this if you are printing 4x6 strips.

4. Start Your PicPic Social Device Server

Now that your Printer is set up, it's time to start the Device Server. Click EC Server, then Press START and begin printing from your sharing station.

5. Troubleshooting

Problem: Why is my Printer not listed under Printer, but I can print using my Photo Booth Software?

The #1 rule for Printing with PicPic Social is that if Windows can print, then PicPic Social can print.

Solution: Even though software like Darkroom Booth can print using your Printer, you need to install the drivers for your specific Printer so that Windows & other software can use the Printer. Don't hesitate to get in touch with your printer manufacturer or retailer for assistance on how to install your printer drivers.
